Last year, the library
- Provided more than one million items to the public. including , books, CDs, DVDs, eBooks, and database articles
- Hosted over 350,000 visitors – enough to fill Fenway Park 9.5 times!
The Library has a budget of $3.5M/year from a combination of Town funding and private donations, with a staff of 65 (37.2 FTE) a a combination of full time, part-time, and substitute staff.
Koren has spent the past 30 years working in small, medium, and large public libraries. Before coming to Lexington in 2011, Koren spent six years at the Boston Public Library – finishing her tenure there as Director of Partnerships and Communications. She was selected as one of Library Journal’s “Movers and Shakers” was awarded the Boston Municipal Research Bureau’s “Shattuck” award for public service.
She holds degrees from The University of Chicago and from Clarion University’s School of Library and Information Science.
