DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual Holiday lunch at Youville Place\n\n\n\nLearn from the exciting career and experience of another great Lexington woman. Paths to leadership are all different and exciting and are all learning opportunities. \n\n \n\nSpeaker: Koren Stembridge\, Director Cary Memorial Library.\n\nLast year\, the  library \n\n\n	Provided more than one million items to the public. including \, books\, CDs\, DVDs\, eBooks\, and database articles\n	Hosted over 350\,000 visitors   enough to fill Fenway Park 9.5 times!\n\n\nThe Library has a budget of $3.5M/year from a combination of Town funding and private donations\, with a staff of 65 (37.2 FTE) a a combination of full time\, part-time\, and substitute staff.\n\nKoren has spent the past 30 years working in small\, medium\, and large public libraries.  Before coming to Lexington in 2011\, Koren spent six years at the Boston Public Library   finishing her tenure there as Director of Partnerships and Communications.  She was selected as one of Library Journal's "Movers and Shakers" was awarded the Boston Municipal Research Bureau's "Shattuck" award for public service.\n\nShe holds degrees from The University of Chicago and from Clarion University's School of Library and Information Science.
