Leadership Under Pressure: A Conversation with Jennifer Wheeler Powers
The Lexington Chamber of Commerce is excited to relaunch our Women in Business Series, bringing together women from across our business and civic community for thoughtful conversations, meaningful connections, and inspiring stories of leadership.
Our first event will take place Wednesday, April 29 from 8:30–9:30 AM at Galaray House in Lexington and will feature Jennifer Wheeler Powers, Flight Paramedic and Operations Manager at Boston MedFlight.
A native of nearby Concord and graduate of Lawrence Academy, Jennifer went on to study Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Connecticut before pursuing a career in emergency medicine. After becoming a practicing paramedic, she worked with both urban and rural EMS agencies before moving into education, teaching and later serving as theALS Programs Coordinator for Yale's Paramedic Program.
Jennifer joined Boston MedFlight in 2015 as a Flight Paramedic and now serves as Operations Manager at the Bedford base, helping lead teams that deliver life-saving care in some of the most challenging and time-sensitive situations imaginable.
Join us for a conversation about leadership, decision-making under pressure, and the path that led Jennifer to one of the most demanding and impactful roles in emergency medical care today. Jennifer is deeply committed to advancing equitable, accessible, and appropriate prehospital care for all patients, and her story offers powerful insights for leaders across every field.
