Carla Koehl (sounds like “kale”) is Executive Director of the Cape Cod Foster Closet, a nonprofit providing community connection and urgently needed apparel and other basics to local families.
Before joining the Cape Cod Foster Closet, Carla was Director of Community Relations for Artis Senior Living, in Lexington.
Early in her career, Carla spent more than ten years in journalism. She also launched and ran three small businesses: The first, Plan A, provided residential and commercial organizing services. The second, Organized4Kids, proved organizational resources for parents who have children with special need. The third, CK Transitions, focused on downsizing and move management for seniors.
Carla grew up in New York City and graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She has two amazing children and a dog who sheds way too much. She and her husband, writer and attorney Tom Keane, are residents of Boston and Centerville.
