Keeping Lexington Community Events Free for Everyone

The Lexington Soccer Celebration was created with a simple goal: bring our community together.

Over 11 days, thousands of residents and visitors have gathered on the Visitors Center Lawn to watch World Cup matches, enjoy local food, discover Lexington businesses, connect with community organizations, and celebrate alongside neighbors they may never have met before.

What makes this event special is that it is completely free to attend.

No admission fee. No ticket required. Just a welcoming community space where everyone can participate.

But events like this are not free to produce.

Behind the scenes, the Lexington Soccer Celebration requires significant investments in licensing, giant LED screens, audio equipment, security, police details, permits, insurance, generators, tents, tables, marketing, staffing, and event operations. While sponsorships help offset many of these costs, they do not cover everything.

That's why we created the Lexington Community Fund, allowing residents, visitors, and community supporters to contribute, though the Chamber of Commerce, directly to the programs and events that make Lexington such a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
