Charity Event Hosted by Primrose School of Burlington and Womenade of Burlington
Join the Primrose Family in a charity event to raise funds for a local family. The Dellascio Family has a son, Ryan, who was born with a rare brain disorder called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. This summer has been particularly difficult for him. He has been admitted to Boston Children's Hospital 6 times and each time for at least 2 weeks, including his current stay right now. 100% of the proceeds will go direclty to Ryan and his family.
There will be face painting, ice cream, raffles, music, bubbles and much more!
Parking will be limited, please park across the street at 55 Network Dr. and walk over to the event. Please do not park in the DCU parking lot – violators may be towed.
More information about Ryan.
Ryan Dellascio was born with a rare brain disorder called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. It means the band of white matter connecting the two hemispheres in the brain failed to develop. As a result of this disorder, Ryan suffers from seizures, feeding difficulties (he needs to be fed through a feeding tube), and severe developmental delays, as well as recurring respiratory problems which has been the main cause for his repeated hospitalizations.
This summer has been particularly difficult for him. He has been admitted to Boston Children's Hospital 6 times and each time for at least 2 weeks, including his current stay right now. Throughout all of his journeys, he remains the happy little fighter he has always been.
The money that is raised would help with the financial strain of traveling back and forth to the hospital all the time. It will also help with anything the family may need to purchase, in the future, that will assist in his day-to-day life.
Ryan is 5 years old. He is going into Kindergarten at the LABBB Collaborative at Francis Wyman. His sister, Madelyn is 8 years old. She is going into the 3rd Grade at Pine Glen. She's a very active, busy girl. She is a Burlington Pop Warner cheerleader and also does tumbling and dance classes. Ryan and Madelyn have a very special bond. He lights up anytime she's around him. She always gets the biggest laughs out of him. She has had a very hard time adjusting to him being in the hospital most of the summer! She has missed him so much!
