DESCRIPTION:The Lexington Chamber of Commerce with the generous support of Lester E. Savage/Berkshire Hathaway & Aloft/Elements Hotel present the Women-in-Business Series.  This event series includes a segment of around-the-table introductions followed by a featured guest speaker.  In addition to facilitated professional networking\, the series places a particular emphasis on learning from one another and sharing work experiences in a friendly\, open environment. This event will include admission\, light breakfast and coffee.\n\n\n\nAt the March 12th event\, we will hear remarks from Joanne Scianna\, Chief Operating Officer for Youville House and Youville Place\, Assisted Living Residences.\n\n\n\n Joanne has over 20 years' experience in Senior Living and the Retirement Industry with work experiences at both Independent Retirement Communities and Assisted Living Communities.\n\n \n\nJoanne holds a Masters of Education from Boston University and Bachelor's Degree from Framingham State University.  She also holds certifications as a Retirement Housing Professional and an Assisted Living Administrator's Certification.\n\n \n\nFor over ten years\, Joanne was a Board Member and Chair of the Board for Minuteman Senior Services.\n\n \n\nFormerly Joanne worked for Reebok and was a highly competitive runner\, attending the 1988 US Olympic Trials in the marathon and held a ranking as 5th in the nation for Masters Division.  Joanne is also a former tennis player and tennis professional who taught tennis throughout New England.\n\n \n\nJoanne's family roots are in Massachusetts and she is pleased to have her parents\, siblings\, and cousins living close by.
