DESCRIPTION:The Lexington Chamber of Commerce with the generous support of Cambridge Savings Bank presents Women-in-Business Series.  This event series includes a segment of around-the-table introductions followed by a featured guest speaker. \n\nIn addition to facilitated professional networking\, the series places a particular emphasis on learning from one another and sharing work experiences in a friendly\, open environment. This event will include admission\, light breakfast and coffee.\n\n\n\n\n\nAt our Sept 13th session\, we will hear remarks from Lauren Cantner Vermette\,  owner of Cantner Heights. Lauren purchased the rights to develop 3 Salons by JC franchise locations in northern Massachusetts and currently has two operating in Stoneham and Lexington.  She is active in the operations and management of both properties and looks forward to continuing to share the concept to beauty professionals and the like in the surrounding areas.\n\n \n\nLauren has studied and worked as successful entrepreneur and corporate manager throughout her career.  She holds a BA from Trinity College and more recently graduated from Babson College Entrepreneurial Business School completing her MBA focusing on Global Management.  \n\n \n\nFor over 14 years Lauren has worked in the media space with positions ranging from  Advertising Planner at top ranked agency\, to an Associate Producer on two local television programs\, to digital sales at Yahoo!.  She most recently held the position of National Sales Manager at AOL\, Inc.\, in Boston\, MA and New York City\, NY\, accountable for leading a team of 15 Account Executives responsible for driving $65MM+ in annual revenue.  For her work in sales leadership Lauren received the annual AOL Crusher award for top honors in management across the country.\n\n \n\nLauren also helps to optimize small businesses' merchant services by consulting for Tiger Payment Solutions.  Through customized offerings\, Lauren works with small businesses within a variety of industries in order to help maximize their profits and accurately streamline commerce processing.\n\n \n\nPersonally Lauren has a thirst for outdoor adventure and is an avid hunter and fisherman.  Lauren resides and owns rental property in Charlestown\, MA and is expecting her first child come this October!
