DESCRIPTION:The local arts\, and business communities are collaborating to bring back an Art Walk to Lexington Center.  This year's walk will help to kick off a number of downtown holiday shopping season events.  The last Art Walk in the Center was held in 2008\, and this year's event will focus primarily on partnering with local banks and real estate firms to host local works of arts in order to support and enhance the vitality of our town's center.  \n\n \n\nThe work of local artists will be displayed in banks\, real estate firms and other businesses throughout in the town center from November 9-27th.  Maps will be available throughout this period at the library and town retail establishments allowing attendees to identify all participating locations.  An evening gallery event will be held Friday\, November 13th (which coincides with many Lexington Retailers plans to remain open later in the evening for holiday shopping) with artists on hand to discuss and answer questions about their work.  Additional merchants will be joining in with seasonal window painting at their establishments.\n\n \n\nInterested artists look should look out for communications from Lexington Arts and Crafts Society and Lexington's Council for the Arts with directions on how to apply to be involved in early October.
